Thank you so much for all your kind words. I was worried that my dad would be recognized only posthumously, but his awards and reviews prior to his death show so much appreciation for his work. Still, only now am I really learning the depth of the appreciation of him and what he did.

Only now am I realizing how many writers he has helped, and all of the notes I am reading about him on the Internet are comforting in a very difficult time for me.

I too went to Books A Million. I did not see anyone. Did anyone go or at least comment on why it was cancelled? As a new member it was a big disapontment not to be able to meet fellow authors.

I’m a new member and I’m afraid I’m going to miss next month’s meeting. Will there be some sort of orientation or “howdy” to new members ? Or do I walk in and just play catchup ?
