General Meeting

6:30 pm Wednesday, February 4, 2009

Selby Library Auditorium

Our speaker this month is Don Bruns. He has been our guest once before. You might remember the night we were at the Gulf Gate Library. Don gave us a nice talk and played his guitar. He even sang!

He is a regular panelist with Mystery Florida in June.

Don’s latest hardcover is the second in a series of adventures starring two men (James Lessor and Skip Moore) and a truck… a white box truck. This time they hook up with a traveling evangelist and… no, you have to read it.  It is called Stuff Dreams Are Made Of.

Don also has a long-running series of Caribbean mysteries.

The next book in that series is Bahama Burnout. It is due out next month.

Don Bruns is an award-winning author, a real pro, a fine musician and–hey–he’s also a nice guy.

Romance

Romance

Romances make up the biggest selling fiction category in the publishing industry. The Romance Writers of America (RWA) estimates almost 65 million Americans read romance fiction – defined as a novel that contains a central love story with a satisfying and optimistic ending. (Holy four-letter-word  - That’s a lot of readers.)

Are you holding your pen, staring out the window, and thinking about that next topic?
